I’ve been on a banana kick ever since I made those Banana Nut Muffins. I know bananas are not good when you’re trying to lose weight, because they have a lot of sugar, but I figure it’s much better to eat a banana than an entire Entenmann’s Fudge Golden cake in one weekend, which I did as recently as July.
I’ve also been making banana smoothies. I do this when I’m at work using my mini blender that I bought like 3 years ago for $15. (My coworkers are always going on about how I have such a healthy diet, because I’m constantly in our kitchen making salads, eggs, avocado sauce, or smoothies.) Now that I have all these bananas to use I’m back on smoothies for the next few days.
I’m actually drinking one while I type this!
Sugar-free Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
One really ripe banana
1/2 cup cottage cheese
Skim milk
Ice
Directions
Mix everything in the blender. Sometimes I might add a packet of Truvia, depending on how sweet the banana is.
That’s it. Soooo good.

I always forget to buy bananas for some reason.
Best thing ever: 1-1 1/2 c of spinach, 1/2 banana, maybe 1/4 c mixed berries, about 1/3 can coconut milk, 1/4 c orange juice, and coconut water (like Coco vita). Amaaaazing.
Mmm sounds very tropical, I like it.
